Exciting. Enthralling. Thrilling. Within the streets of BGC in Taguig lies a unique and modern structure inspired by a space-age design which opens the doors to limitless knowledge and exciting Science adventures. Upon setting foot on it, learning begins to fire away and it wont just stop because learning never seemed to be this kind of fun especially for very curious minds.
The Mind Museum promises nothing but to spark one’s curiosity, knowledge and exploration. There is no better way to understand something but to experience it on your own, on your own pace, and reward yourself with your own fulfillment. When you learn through your personal volition and undertaking, that’s when learning gets more meaningful. And through this, everything starts to get exciting and make sense.
I’ve already expressed before how much I am in curious about museums. Good thing Pao and I share the same wavelength about almost anything that’s why I’m just so fortunate that he does not get bored and he’s into museums too! Because we just had to satisfy our inner geekness, thirst for new experiences, and love for museums, we knew we just had to visit the Mind Museum as soon as we can after 5 years in its making. The Mind Museum, recently opened last March 16, 2012, is the first-world class Science museum in the Philippines. And yes, I can say that it is very much at par with the museums that we see abroad.

To jump start your visit at the museum, a robot named Aedi (which is idea spelled backwards), will greet you at the lobby of the museum.
The museum contains 250 virtual and interactive exhibits that stimulate curiosity and are contained in galleries which are conceptualized and set-up in a logical way. The museum is divided into 5 galleries which allows the museum-goer a chance to choose his/ her own adventure but would still end up to be enthused no matter what order or path he/ she takes.
1. The Story of the Atom: The Strange World of the Very Small
This gallery houses the most number of interactive exhibits!
Everything is made up of Atoms sculpture!
The Gigantic Periodic Table of Elements
The exhibits are well-conceptualized in all aspects
Perhaps the Static Van der Graaft ball was my ultimate favorite exhibit in the entire Atom Gallery. It’s just so amazing that hair could actually come to life and stand up like that!

2. The Story of Life: The Exuberance of Life
The Evolution of Man! Which one is the real one?

3. The Story of the Earth: Nature Across the Breadth of Time
Stan, the T.Rex! A replica of the real Tyrannosaurus Rex who lived 65 MYA, discovered in Alabama!

From the Earth gallery, Dare yourself to go inside this tunnel as you go through swirling and spinning illusions while crossing it!
4. The Story of the Universe: The Majesty of the Universe

Inside the Space Shell, you can watch a 30-minute feature about Space Collisions, detailing how the Universe, galaxies, planets, stars, and the like we formed. Watch in a different way as you lie down and stare at the ceiling of the space shell simulating how you look into the sky as you go stargazing at night.

5. The Story of Technology: The Human Face of Technology
This gallery exhibits various technological advancements which complements how humans live!

MIMO: the in-house obstacle avoiding robot who freely roams the Technology gallery
The Golden Ratio: With this mirror, follow the directions and see if you have the ideal symmetry to be called BEAUTIFUL!

Science-at-the-Park: Nature’s Artful Play
As you head out of the building, a play area will welcome you. It’s not just an ordinary playground, it is an interactive playground where children and adults alike can indulge to their inner child and experience Science fascination through the various playground equipment.

The Mind Museum was very entertaining and was well-conceptualized in all aspects. Its interactive exhibits were very much amusing and would satisfy the love of learning of people from all ages! Trust me, it took us more than 3 hours going around the museum and I would go back again in a heartbeat!
Philosophia. Krateito. Photon. “Let the love of learning rule humanity.” Love of learning and education is something that nobody could ever take away from you. It is yours. It just enriches you. Spread the love of learning and experience the rewards yourself!

Hi Teacher Mia! Thanks so much for your words! Allow us to share with you that ninety percent of Filipino students are in public schools. We want to make an impact on this sector so we only charge them P150 for entrance. Even more, we also charge also only P150 for teachers, whether from private or public schools. But we are also having campaigns to get sponsorships for those groups of kids who still cannot afford P150.
