And I walked in Mong Kok…

Standard

…to go shopping and please my eyes! And last days in another country always meant spending time shopping or at least, window shopping for personal bargains but most especially, cultural finds!

This was our last day in Hong Kong, hence, SHOPPING DAY!

We tried to make the best out of our last day by making the best bargains out of shopping. What we did not know was that we were in for a huge surprise in Mong Kok! Chi ching! Chi ching!

Pao discovered his Nike Land, no, his Nike Heaven in Mong Kok, where everything had a swoosh, even Adidas outlets! He ended up buying pairs of shoes, socks, and shorts! (He wasn’t that happy huh?)

I, on the other hand, went crazy with my bargain hunt in Ladies Market. Needless to say, I was a super happy camper! Women love bargains!🙂 I ended up not having enough space in my suitcase, but was extra happy to take home more baggage. Take note: Hand carried extra baggage. But it was worth the effort!

I❤ HK shirts at around Php 100 each (if converted)

The best thing about Mong Kok:

On our last day in Hong Kong, we were blessed with the chance to stumble upon a quaint but very delicious noodle kiosk along the streets of Mong Kok! Oh boy, we were like crazy children pining for ice cream when we saw how delicious the noodles were. And our taste buds remained witnesses to that exquisite gastronomic encounter!  Oh street food! You will always have a place in my heart!

Noodles, one of the best I've tasted!

HK Street Food is so gooood!

But all good things eventually come to an end. After shopping, we needed to get back to check in at the airport for our 7:00pm flight. We needed to bid good bye to Hong Kong. We left Hong Kong with smiles on our faces and happy memories to recall.

From Tsim Sha Tsui to HKIA

Where to, next?

Getting There:

  • Take the red line in Central and head to Mong Kok Station
  • Walk around Mong Kok, and enjoy!
  • Walk further, you’ll get to the Ladies Market (Note: Ladies Market opens at noon, so if you’re there very early, you will not be able to get to the bazaar)
