La Luz Beach Resort, Laiya Batangas

Standard

Batangas is usually close to the hearts of the people of Metro Manila due to its convenience and proximity to the city. It provides convenient escapades away from the city life with its beautiful beaches.

Laiya in Batangas is a long strip of beach with off-white and grainy sandy shores. The warm blue waters welcome you, as the waves slowly come by crashing by the shore.

We tried out La Luz Beach Resort. The resort offers such a relaxing atmosphere to it that you can easily sleep on the shores of the resort. It’s a popular place to surrender to solitude as it offers peace and quiet, away from the stressful city life.

I visited La Luz in the summer of 2007, along with several friends to keep me company. It’s true. The overall atmosphere of the beach resort is definitely relaxing. Apart from that, a buffet is offered 5 times during the day: breakfast, morning merienda, lunch, afternoon merienda, and dinner. Talk about having a vacation!

They also have cabanas available by the beach front to allow guests to lounge around and break freeee!

If you continue exploring around the stretch of La Luz, you will head towards this rocky paradise. Perfect for photoshoots and adventure!
Beach Huts were also erected by the sandy shores of La Luz. It was very convenient because it allows perfect time to take a snooze while you hear the waves crashing on the shore.
Perfect ME time on the beach, almost a cloudless in a vivid blue sky!
They also had available equipment for rent for snorkeling. Although it’s not a dive site nor a marine sanctuary, the experience of looking around for fishes was greatly amusing.
The management lights up a Bonfire every night to keep the people warm as the cold sea breeze  blows through the open shores.
I generally had a great time in La Luz Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas. However, a word of caution though. The waters of Laiya gets deep after a few steps. So if you think you are not a confident swimmer, try not to head towards the deeper parts of the waters. I almost drowned as I tried going to the raft. I thought that the water level was still shallow, so I tried treading on. But it was too late when I realized that I was already submerged in deep waters and finding myself struggling and gasping for air.  Lesson: find out the water level first before setting foot into the water.

But nevertheless, it was still a wonderful stay. I would still recommend going to Laiya for fun-filled trips! Besides being one of the most affordable resorts in Laiya, I give it a thumbs up for great food and great accommodation. You may try to visit their websites for their rates and accommodation.

  1. http://instagram.com/kristinnery/ she already deleted the photo. she even tried to post photos of coleen garcia with sun glasses and telling everyone that it was her. Also, ryza cenon from GMA. I think she’s trying to be “cool”. Well at least she deleted all the photos that doesn’t belongs to her.
